Borough Real Estate Tax
All owners of taxable real estate in Chester Heights Borough are subject to the Borough’s real estate tax.  Borough bills are mailed directly to property owners on or around February 1st every year and cover the calendar year. 
Payment amounts vary by date as follows:

            Discount tax amount (2% of face)            -  paid by March 31st
Face tax amount                              -  paid between April 1st and May 31st
Penalty amount (10% of face)       -  paid between June 1st and December 31st

Checks should be made payable to Maryann D. Furlong, Tax Collector and mailed to the address noted above.  Additionally, the Tax Collector is available to personally accept payments during the last two weeks of March.  Please consult your tax bill for specific dates and times.

At the end of every calendar year, all outstanding tax bills are turned over to the Delaware County Tax Claim Bureau for collection. 
The Borough of Chester Heights has no Local Service Tax, Earned Income Tax, or Per Capita Tax.

Tax Certification Requests
The Chester Heights Tax Collector collects both the Borough and Garnet Valley School District real estate tax bills.  All requests for tax certifications must be made in writing and mailed to the address noted above.  The fee for a one year tax certification for both taxing entities is $40.00.  Checks should be made payable to Maryann D. Furlong, TC.

Duplicate Bills
Requests for duplicate bills must be made in writing and mailed to the address noted above.  There is a $20.00 fee for a duplicate bill.  Checks should be made payable to Maryann D. Furlong, TC.  Special provisions are made for property owners who misplace their bills.  Property owners should call the Tax Collector directly for help.

Delaware County Real Estate Tax
Delaware County imposes a County tax on all property owners within the County.  For information call 610-891-4278.
